Disaster Relief Efforts in the US
Hurricane Sandy
In 2012, the ENA-USA Executive Committee unanimously approved disaster relief for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. ENA-USA President, Chief Paul Bassey Duke, is shown below presenting a check to the American Red Cross in New York.

“Superstorm Sandy” made landfall on October 30, 2012. By the time it subsided, 24 US states were affected and 72 people lost their lives. The total damage from the storm was estimated at $75 billion making it the second-costliest hurricane and largest Atlantic Tropical Storm in US history.
