Matthew Izevbigie – President
Greetings to all, My name is Matthew Otu Mesembe Izevbigie. I am from Houston, Texas, I am the Grand Nephew of The Obong Of Calabar (His Eminence Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu-V ) and the current Efik National Youth Wing President. I am a Sophomore enrolled in college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where I take on the task of majoring in Pre-Dental and minoring in Human Sciences. I have previously served on the Efik Youth Executive Board as the Treasurer from 2016-2018 and I also hold the title and crown of Mr.Efik USA 2015. With the duty of being president comes a lot of responsibilities and tasks, I plan to do my best on guiding as well as leading my fellow Efik Youth peers involved in our Efik Community here in the United States. The main thing we must do as a whole in this organization is continue to spread not only our culture, but our message. Giving back and helping our community back home in Nigeria, as well as fundraising money to send our children to school, is the main reason of this organization and nothing is more beautiful than doing that and spreading our culture at the same time. These next years to come as President, I will do everything in my power to strengthen our youth in Knowledge and Enlighten them on the important things that life has to offer. I will do my best to expand the Efik Culture and continue on passing down our tradition and our life long legacy we as Efik People have to offer to God’s world. Long Live Efik Eburutu, Long Live Efik Professionals of Houston, and Long Live Efik National USA. God Bless us all, and may he always grant us peace in everything.

Mary Inyang – Vice-President
Hello. My name is Mary Inyang. I am Ms Efik USA 2018 and the new Efik National Association Youth Wing Vice President. I am a freshman at Towson University majoring in Business with a concentration in marketing. I am a proud representative of Nka Ikem Esit Charitable Organization, the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area chapter of ENA. In high school, I was involved in many extra curricular activities including: National English Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Student Government Association, and the Oxon Hill High School Dance Department. My greatest achievement was being on the executive board for our African Student Association. We all worked together to bring back an organization that was on a swift decline and we succeeded. We were able to fundraise enough to have the school’s first ever African festival. I plan to use those same skills that were required to aid in keeping the Efik Culture alive in our youth. I believe that keeping the culture of the Efik people is very important and we cannot let it fade. I believe that it must be passed down to generations to come. It was a pleasure to take on the role of Youth Wing Secretary from 2016-2018. Working with Samuel Archibong, Christopher Oyobio Jr, and Matthew Izevbigie was an absolute honor and has taught me so much. We were able to strategize and find simple ways to take on complicated tasks. I am excited to take on this new role as VP and ready for the experience. I pray that this new executive board’s floor is the last executive board’s ceiling. Long Live Efik Eburutu! Long Live Efik National USA! God Bless!

Patrick Archibong – Secretary
